Old Turkmen Tribal Jewellery Ring with 4 Large Bells

This unusual old Turkmen (Turkoman) ring was handcrafted during the early 1900's by tribal jewelry artisans from Turkmenistan in Central Asia. It has a classic Ersari tribal design, with bold gilding, clean lines and crisp details.

A red bead in the center is eye-shaped, placed there to ward off the evil eye. 4 large old bells hang from the corners for making a wonderful sound when the hand moves.

The design is of 2 sets of double-headed eagles - a favored motif in Central Asia intended to protect the wearer from harm.  

This Turkmen Jewelry ring is in excellent condition and has the rich age patina giving it a glow that only the passage of time can create. This is a sturdily constructed ring that does not bend.
