Afghan Kuchi Beaded Embroidery Panel
This colorful vintage Afghan Kuchi beaded panel was handcrafted in the later 1900's to use in making in belts, clothing, and wall hangings.
It has intricately detailed bead-work incorporating stylized ram's horns, wings, triangles and flowers. Two beaded phuls ("flowers") decorate the ends.
Panels like this one were often made by several different people...with one person beading the main design, another working on the border, and a third completing the lower fringe.
A soft cotton lining has been added, making it easy to affix the panel wherever desired and lending support to the beading.Great piece, at a great price.
