This large antique Turkmen Asyk (Asik) Pendant was ornately handcrafted in silver during the late 1800's in Turkmenistan. The gold-gilding highlights designs of stylized birds wings and flames that were etched into the silver. 

Two red carnelians set in raised bezels are said to invigorate the wearer and protect against the evil eye. The embedded bail is perfect for wearing this magnificent old pendant on a favorite ribbon, cord, or chain.

This is a particularly beautiful old piece of Collectible Turkmen tribal jewelry that is more than 100 years old. It has a mild wear patterns and a warm age patina that only the passage of time can create.
