Ornate Large Laghmani Tribal Match-Makers Ring

This unusual very large ring was handcrafted by Afghan jewelry artisans as a classically ornate match-makers ring from the Laghman Province in the foothills of the Himalayas.

It is a traditional ring, studded with small turquoise and coral colored beads set within the golden floral medallions. The front has a large vibrant red stone, divided by the design into two halves. 

Rings like this were historically worn by match-makers who helped couples find each other for happy marriages. 

This is a very large ring with historical tribal significance. It has a wide span, and with its large size is great for costuming and tribal wardrobes.
