Ornate Vintage Tribal Jewelry Necklace from Afghanistan

This ornate vintage celebration necklace was handcrafted during the mid-1900's in present-day southern Afghanistan.

This is old Afghan jewelry, and not a new reproduction.

The design is a classic one in this part of Central Asia and to the Indian subcontinent to the south.

The large pendant mimics the sun, with vibrant lavender, blue and red beads radiating from the center.

Tiny bells (tinklers) hang below, clattering together with movement.

The side chains are equally ornate with similar vibrant beads.

There are very mild wear patterns and a warm age patina after decades of time.
