Vintage Ethiopian Neck Cross Pendant
This vintage African Cross Pendant was handcrafted in Ethiopia during the late 1990's. It is reminiscent of the ancient Coptic Crosses from this region.
Traditionally worn on a simple cord, crosses like this were put on immediately after baptism, and treasured throughout life.
The cross-in-cross design symbolizes the duality of heaven and earth in spiritual life. It has the same design on both sides.
This pendant was sturdily made and does not bend.
Comes in a gift-box.
