Large Old Kazakh Silver Tribal Jewelry Ring
This remarkable large silver ring was handcrafted in Kazakhstan Central Asia during the mid 1900's. It has a tiered top; the upper tier is vibrant
red glass set in a raised bezel. The bead is deliberately eye-shaped, intended to ward off the evil eye as well as to invigorate the wearer.
The repeating triangle motif is classic Kazakh, as is the gold gilding on the lower tier. A light age patina remains, adding a glow that only the passage of time can create. It has minor wear patterns on the back that are not visible when wearing.
The overall effect of this ring is strikingly beautiful...a large ring,
but not too large, and gracefully made for a delicate look despite its size.
