Exquisite Large Old Turkmen Tekke Gulyaka Pendant handcrafted in gold-gilded silver during the early to mid-1900's in Central Asia.

In classic Tekke fashion, the gold-gilded designs etched in the silver are of stylized birds and flames, intended to unify the wearer with nature. Elaborate dangles hang below, clattering together for a wonderful sound with movement. 

A rams-horn border and multiple eye-shaped red beads are not only beautiful, but strategic placed, intended to ward off the evil eye. Excellent condition.

This wonderful gulyaka pendant was made of in sturdy silver, ready for wearing and collecting. Gulyaka pendants were traditionally worn close to the neck, but today they are worn as necklaces, brooches, and hair jewelry.
