Tibetan-Nepalese Carved Buddha Pendant Necklace
The intriguing carved Pendant on this necklace was hand-carved in Nepal. It depicts a sitting Buddha in quiet meditation on both sides.
Pendants like this are akin to the carved "Mani Stones" placed along Himalayan pathways as a tribute to Buddha and Buddhism. (Mani stones were frequently carved with the mantra of Avalokiteshvara (Om mani padme hum) from which they get their name.)
This pendant hangs on a plain black neck-cord with a secure lobster claw clasp. Contemporary Nepalese Jewelry. Fair Trade item.
